Description
Looking for a fulfilling and exciting internship this summer? Gain experience as a paid summer Entertainment intern while promoting and preparing for Indiana’s largest multi-day event – the span style="font-size: small;">2014 INDIANA STATE FAIR!
Responsibilities
Duties Include Assisting with and Implementing, but not limited to:

Main Street Stage management – intern will serve as the stage manager & host/emcee during the 17-day Indiana State Fair and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the stage, including artist management, admission, parking, production needs/requirements. The Stage Manager is also responsible for executing and fulfilling artist contracts prior to all performances

Fulfillment of entertainment contracts and operational needs throughout the Fairgrounds: Free Stage, Grandstand, Family Fun Park attractions, Celebration Park attractions; Dance Stage; Farm Bureau Building auditorium; grounds & strolling acts

General office duties
Qualifications
Interested Applicants Should Have:

An interest in Entertainment & Event Production

Good verbal and written communication skills

Attention to detail & organization
-
Computer experience (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, social media)

Team Player attitude – willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done!

Motivation, be a self-starter
Internships begin in late May or early June. Interns are required to stay through the entire duration of the State Fair: August 1-17, 2014. Internships are 40 hours/week with extended hours during the Fair and one week prior to opening. The Indiana State Fair does not provide housing or transportation.
