Description

Looking for a fulfilling and exciting internship this summer? Gain experience as a paid summer Events intern while promoting and preparing for Indiana’s largest multi-day event – the span style="font-size: small;">2014 INDIANA STATE FAIR!

Responsibilities

Duties Include Assisting with and Implementing, but not limited to:

  1. Indiana State Fair Queen’s summer travels statewide: coordinating the Queen’s appearances with county Queen Pageant directors and booking her overnight accommodations

  2. Planning & execution of the Fiddle Contest and Kids’ Day activities

  3. Assist with other Fair events, including: Hot-Air Balloon Launch, Daily Parade, World’s Largest Drive-Thru Breakfast, Car Show, 2015 Queen Pageant

  4. General office duties

Qualifications

Interested Applicants Should Have:

  1. An interest in Event Planning & Event Production

  2. Good verbal and written communication skills

  3. Attention to detail & organization

  4. Computer experience (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, social media)

  5. Team Player attitude – willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done!

  6. Motivation, be a self-starter

     

    Internships begin in late May or early June. Interns are required to stay through the entire duration of the State Fair: August 1-17, 2014. Internships are 40 hours/week with extended hours during the Fair and one week prior to opening.  The Indiana State Fair does not provide housing or transportation.
