Public Relations Summer Intern will help develop and implement publicity that effectively promotes the library's collections, services, and programs to the community and staff, applying the best practices of quality, professionalism, courtesy, attitude and safety.
Responsibilities
The Public Relations Summer Intern is responsible for assisting with developing and implementing publicity that effectively promotes the library's collections, services, and programs to the community and staff, by creating and producing publicity materials, e-newsletters, editing content and posting to the Library's facebook page, Twitter, and blog, and establishing personal contact with community members.
Qualifications
Special education, training, and/or experience in marketing and public relations; ability to effectively use computer equipment; experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and other software applications, including those for producing publicity pieces; familiarity with google Docs; ability to use internet tools for promoting library services, programs, and collections;
