Description

The selected intern works as a direct assistant to the Global Competency Manager. They work as a Project Manager for specific projects assigned by the Global Competency Manager. They help with assignments that include cross culture and diversity training, market research, management of training material, and logistic arrangements for training sessions.

Responsibilities

o             Research new cultures with the emphasis on the ten components of the culture wheel   

o             Identify the global competency training market in Indiana (and nationally)

o             Identify new potential clients for IC

- determine the demographics of their employees and clients they serve

- what kind of diversity training (if any) are they already providing their employees

- gather above information for targeted clients

o             Assists….

- with updating training and Orientation Program for International Employees (OPIE) materials

- with planning for training sessions

- with special projects such as Leadership Across Cultures

- OPIE training and sessions

Qualifications

à         Excellent interpersonal skills        

à         Excellent writing skills    

à         Strong research aptitude and/or skills      

à         Strong organizational skills

à         Willing to be versatile and flexible, with a self-starter ethic

à         Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders

à         Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
