The Business Systems Analyst Intern will be assigned to an internal business systems project. The project will be focused on improving an internal business process at Rea. The intern will identify the requirements that are not being met with the current business process and systems. They will establish a project charter outlining the scope of the project, the root cause of the issue or deficiency in the process and/or systems and the goals for improvement. The intern will work with the IT staff and business subject matter experts to plan and deliver the solution.
Responsibilities
- Organizing and leading project meetings.
- Maintaining performance data on the current and new business process.
- Conducting business process reviews with project stakeholders.
- Documenting current and planned business processes.
- Creating and maintaining the project charter, goals, planned tasks, timeline and responsible participants.
- Consulting with IT Team on design alternatives.
- Communication with project team and management on progress and issues.
Learning Outcomes
The Business Systems Analyst intern will learn the process of turning an idea for a business systems improvement into a successful reality by applying problem solving, project management and information systems design skills in a collaborative environment.
