Description
The Indiana State Fair Foundation Intern should be looking towards a career in the nonprofit field with an interest in fundraising. This intern will develop skills in fundraising, organization, planning, implementation, communication and community relations.
The internship begins in May and the intern is required to stay through the duration of the Indiana State Fair – August 3-19, 2018. Internships are 30-40 hours/week with extended hours during the Fair and one week prior to opening. The intern will report to the Director of Development.
Responsibilities
- Creating a campus-wide presence for the Foundation during the Fair
- Helping host luncheons and meetings during the Fair
- Organizing Foundation fundraising events
- Foundation mailings
- Overall support of the Foundation
Qualifications
Interested Applicants Should Have:
- An interest in nonprofits and fundraising
- Experience in event fundraising (preferred)
- Exceptional Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good verbal and written communication
- A Team Player attitude: willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done, including helping other departments as needed!
- Motivation, be a self-starter
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
