Internship Description: Greater Fort Wayne Inc. seeks to increase Fort Wayne-Allen County’s Jobs, Wages, and Quality of Life, making it a thriving, world-class economy. As a membership organization, over 1300 businesses invest in GFW Inc. These businesses are supported by GFW Inc. through advocacy efforts, programs, and networking opportunities designed to grow their business. GFW Inc. has two databases that are maintained for the investor network and a Signature Program called Leadership Fort Wayne. The right intern will enjoy the perks of connecting with each of the investor businesses, and community leaders through Leadership Fort Wayne, gathering updated contact information, interests, and needs. The intern will also network with Fort Wayne’s business and community leadership.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Analyze information needs based on current database
• Develop plans for collecting data
• Develop strategy for future data updates
• Complete cold calls to collect needed information
• Implement drip email campaigns
• Attend networking events and programs

• Proficiency in email marketing

• Database management

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Required:

Currently seeking an Associates or Bachelors Degree in business, marketing, or communication

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Good communicator – both written and verbal

Determined to hit goals

• Preferred:

Experience making cold calls

Experience using cloud-based email marketing applications
