Description
The Programming and Events Intern should be looking towards a career in event production and marketing. This internship will develop skills in organization, planning, implementation and building partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Indiana Brewers’ Cup Competition
- Indiana Beer and Wine Exhibition
- Agriculture and Horticulture Building including the Indiana Grown Store and Culinary Stage
- Indiana Arts Building
- Theme activation for Programming and Exhibits
- Young Hoosier State Piano Competition
- Communication of event details
- Involved in overall marketing team efforts
Qualifications
- An interest in Event Production, Operations and Marketing
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Team Player attitude – willing to assist in other areas and do whatever it takes to get the job done!
- Motivation, be a self-starter
- Internships begin in mid to late May. Interns are required to stay through the duration of the State Fair. Internships are 40 hours/week with extended hours one month prior to and during the State Fair.
