About Indiana Wildlife Federation

Mission Statement:

To promote the conservation,  sound management,  and sustainable use of Indiana’s wildlife and wildlife habitat through education,  advocacy,  and action.

¨ The Indiana Wildlife Federation is a statewide,  non-profit conservation organization.  Our   membership comprises individuals,  businesses,  conservation clubs and organizations dedicated to the wise use of Indiana’s natural resources.

¨ We support Common Sense Conservation through our commitment to continue Teddy Roosevelt’s idea to wisely use our country’s natural resources,  to use but not abuse.

¨ IWF promotes hunting,  fishing,  wildlife watching,  and other outdoor activities where Hoosiers are able to enjoy and benefit from nature.  Using wildlife management techniques we encourage establishing and enhancing habitat to maintain a healthy and sustainable environment.

¨ The Indiana Wildlife Federation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and supported by membership,  donations and grants.

¨ The Indiana Wildlife Federation has a distinguished history of working with the Department of Natural Resources and the Indiana State Legislators to provide a voice for our members on conservation concerns that affect outdoor recreation interests.   Through “grassroots action”  we work to enhance the quality of life for all Hoosiers.

¨ We work hard to keep members and the public informed about issues that need immediate attention and about IWF events and volunteer opportunities.
