Description

Summary:

The Exhibit Production Intern will be focusing on exhibit fabrication projects of upcoming exhibits.  Interns will also learn the process of gallery installations.

Responsibilities

Possible internship activities include:

  • General carpentry and fabrication
  • Case work
  • Exhibit construction
  • Exhibit Installation

Qualifications

Working Conditions:

  • A majority of this work will be done behind-the-scenes
  • Some lifting and work with heavy materials
  • Can be a loud work environment at times

Experience/Requirements:

  • Junior status or above preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work as a team

 

Areas of Study/Interests:

  • Be majoring in Furniture or Sculpture
  • Be comfortable operating woodworking equipment
