Internship Program:
World Baseball Academy (WBA) vision is to develop leaders who positively impact our world. The internship program has become an important part of that leadership development process within our operations.
WBA enjoys our partnership with numerous area universities and high schools in order to provide students an experiential learning opportunity that aligns with their passions and future career path.
Paid Internship:
World Baseball Academy (WBA) offers very limited availability for paid internship experience. The internship program that includes a stipend pay will require specific hours and commitment that is not required in the unpaid internship program.
Required Hours:
Concessions Management (Mid-Week) Internship Position
Months | April, May, June, July
Days | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Hours | 4:30pm – 9:00pm
Hours / Week | Approximately 18 Hours per week
Total Hours | 300 Hour Requirement
Location | Outdoor Facility at ASH Centre

College Accreditation:
World Baseball Academy can structure the internship experience to meet additional hours of requirement based on University expectations. This Paid Internship Position does require a minimum number of 300 hours served that may exceed the University requirements.
Reports To:
The Concessions Management Intern will report directly to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- To manage the concession stand during Mid-Week Evening rentals at the ASH Centre.
- To work with evening coverage on customer service needs.
- To work with Director of Operations on inventory and supply needs.
- To manage volunteers who may be working under this position’s authority.
- To enforce safety expectations of the ASH Centre facility.
- To insure the cleanliness of the ASH Centre facility.
- To work with Director of Operations to insure our Quality Coverage Check List is accomplished.
- To work with evening operations on time management
- To meet with Director of Operations on key adjustments to routine to increase efficiency and effectiveness of organization’s service to the community.
- To attend WBA Staff Meetings (if available) on Tuesdays at 12:00pm.
Qualifications
Passion – A desire to help fulfill our WBA vision of developing leaders who positively impact our world.
Experience – Previous part-time employment experience within management
Required Skill – Communication, Customer Friendliness, Attention to Detail
Physical Requirements- Some manual labor involved in concessions setup as well as occassional field preparations and cleaning
