Energy Improvement Matters is an Ag consulting and grant writing firm on the northwest side of Indianapolis, very close to Interstate 65. We currently have an opening for a part-time writer and proofer to help rural America become more energy efficient by supporting renewable energy and energy efficiency on the farm. We are looking for a competent intern to assist with grant writing and energy audits. The perfect intern would be a responsible, trust-worthy, hard-working, team-player who is able to take direction and has good computer skills. Hours are flexible Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. We are a small, family owned company, yet we have a large national footprint. This is a job for someone that likes to learn something new each day in a friendly and supportive environment, while still doing the basic tasks that all businesses need to do to succeed.

Responsibilities

This job requires you to talk to customers on the phone and work with a team in our office. Clear, written and verbal communications are essential, as is the ability to listen and help clients and co-workers complete their grant applications. Familiarity with various computer programs would be helpful, such as:

1. Microsoft Word (mail merges, tables and margins, screen captures)
   1. Outlook (send and track mail, manage and create distribution lists)
2. Internet Explorer (online research using Google, etc.)

• Have good computer skills
