Description

The mission of the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville, IN, is to provide life-changing services that maximize the independence of children and adults with disabilities, regardless of their ability to pay, and to ensure equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in our community.

Easter Seals is seeking an independent, self-motivated and detail oriented individual with a passion for Information Technology and customer service.

You will be responsible for assisting in the planning, diagnosing, repairing and installing information technology, equipment, and systems. 

Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday between the hours of 7am and 5pm 
Can be flexible with work hours but must adhere to schedule once the schedule is set.

 
Pay: $10.00 per hour 

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot computer equipment using common practices and research tools.
  • Monitor antivirus software, updates and repair computers and assist users
  • Install computers, printers, networking components
  • Maintain confidentiality and security in an environment governed by HIPAA
  • Prioritize tasks according to guidance.
  • Employ solutions in a virtualized server environment
  • Participate as part of a team assisting users to achieve solutions
  • Provide customer support and document solutions
  • Special projects around programming, data science, etc. are available depending on your interest and skill levels.

 

Qualifications

To be considered, applicants must be an Indiana resident currently enrolled at accredited university.  All interested candidates must register at Indiana INTERN.net  https://indianaintern.net/

Major area of study must be related to Information Technology

The Easterseals Rehabilitation Center is looking for an intern with exceptional customer service skills, solid troubleshooting skills, ability to work well in a team environment, excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision. Applicants must have experience with Windows 7, and 10. Experience with networking technologies and printer support is preferred. Applicants must have awareness of the PC hardware components, desktop operating system software, and application software. Applicant must have awareness of the PC industry’s current and emerging technology trends and direction, as well as a keen interest in computer based information systems and technology.
