Description

The Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce is seeking a student pursuing a degree in business, ideally focusing on marketing to complete summer internship.   As a marketing intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in various aspects of marketing, including digital marketing, event planning, and content creation.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of the Chamber's digital marketing strategy, including managing social media accounts, creating engaging content, and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Support the planning and promotion of Chamber events, such as networking mixers, educational workshops, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Contribute to the creation of marketing materials, such as newsletters, brochures, and promotional flyers.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to help inform the Chamber's marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to identify and implement new marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and member engagement.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, such as data entry, file management, and general office tasks.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program or associate degree program in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in using social media platforms, content management systems, and basic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for the local business community and a desire to contribute to the Chamber's mission.

Qualifications

Interns should have experience in marketing to setup calendars for social media posts and campaigns.  We interact with 300+ businesses and are building this Chamber to be member-centered, so we need proactive, imaginitive leader who can set, follow and finish projects.
