The Play Schools are a private, family-owned and operated small business specializing in the best EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION in Carmel and Fishers, IN. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching young children and be able to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages learning and development. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, providing guidance and support to students, and engaging in meaningful conversations with parents.

Responsibilities

  • Help with serving meals and snacks to children, ensuring portion control and presentation standards are met.
  • Follow recipes and dietary guidelines to prepare nutritious and balanced meals that meet the nutritional needs of young children.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and storing food properly.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times, including proper handling and storage of food items.
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with the directors and other staff members to create menu plans that accommodate children's dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of child nutrition.
