IT Security/Network Administrator Internship

Ruoff Mortgage is looking for an IT Security/Network Administrator intern. This position will assist the Network Administrator in the IT Department with various tasks for the company-wide Ruoff team. This position is located on site, at our Corporate Headquarters in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Network Administrators with configuration and documentation of our network environment
  • Assist in the migration of legacy systems to cloud systems 
  • Gain knowledge of virtual environments, including VMware and Nutanix
  • Help establish consistent documentation of IT environment
  • Assist with maintaining and securing IT servers and network
  • Maintains a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures
  • Responsible for a high level of confidentiality and security while handing personal information; verbal and/or written documentation
  • Perform other tasks as requested

Qualifications

  • Must be working towards Bachelor’s degree in Information Technologies, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Networking and Cisco Umbrella Experience, Vlan, Trunks, VMware and/or Nutanix Administration, O365, Azure AD and similar skills needed
  • Technical writing skills are a  plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products-Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Attention to detail, multi-tasking and broad communication skills are essential
